Hello Anton

I understand exactly where you are coming fom!
You will be in good company with Willem and Vanessa I am sure.

The guitarrrgghh is a difficult instrument to learn never mind over coming our individual issues.

Every little learned will eventually lead to improvement.... that's how I think.... one day at a time

I don't ever expect to be a master guitarist, as long as I am enjoying myself.

Keep well

You might want to rephrase that Anton...... Sounds like..... TRIAD.....

Dermot,, i don't think this abaut learning guitar(it could be), I think Anton is a bit overstrained,,a bit troubles in prived atmosfeer(not with his woman),,His wife lost her job and Anton has some troubles out his job way back(21 years working in psychiatry),,he has seen alot,,To you Anton,,keep up the power from music and everything comes allright,,we think on you,,be well,,take some rest and do nice things..

Keep on trucking Anton! Playing the guitar and singing out your favourite songs is the best therapy I can think of... would want to be without it!
Hang in there. Working on a song will help your concentration, just take some breaks when you get tired and come back again.

Hi Anton as Chris says music is good therapy even if it is just for yourself. Hang in there we'll wait for you. Concentration with words that's a permanent problem for me...

Keep on practicing Anton and have fun, if it takes a longer time that you think it should take, don't pay attention to it As Chas said it, it takes me forever to learn just one phrase and play it. I was actually concerned that I had a health problem. I have decided not to pay attention to it and decided not to worry about how fast I learn anymore.

Have fun playing
Marc

Hey Anton,

If I understand, you are having some personal problems that are making it hard to concentrate on guitar. I hope these things can be sorted out mate. Sometimes life gets tough that's for sure. Stick with it mate.

Anton,

I was actually going to make the same post that you did. I guess your not the only one with the feeling like your going at a snails pace.

I think the long winter is taking its toll on me, but Alas, the days are getting longer here in Alaska. We actually have sunshine at 8 am and 6:30 pm.

That doesn't sound like much to those that haven't experienced Alaskan winter light, but believe me, it can get you down.

So chin up, and remember that even the clunky sounds coming out of that guitar are pretty. But what ever you do, never quit.

Scott
