You just have to watch this to 1.50ish and watch the bravery and strength, he is trying to rescue the brother of the girl in black dress and blood on her face.
There are other vids of this guy tirelessly working immediately after the initial Quake, he kept up this effort for ages apparently totally oblivious to the fact he was in a real danger zone.

That concrete block would weigh more than the average person could lift let alone toss aside

Unfortunately it was in vain...

Check out a FB site made out after his efforts:

Toll now 146 and rising daily 200 missing 20 nationalities included in these figures

My heart breaks seeing those kind of videos.....I'm so happy that you and your family are not injured Chas....

Still many lives are just crushed...I feel for each and everyone of them....

We are pretty noisy but pretty small and insignificant on the surface of the earth relative to the forces of mother nature. These videos can barely transmit the pain for all the losses. I am so glad your family was not hurt , Chas

They have a saying in NZ or is it an attitude that if it can't be made with a piece of 4x2 and some No, 8 fencing wire it can't be done...

Christchurch has been hit yet again with a swarm of quakes today 11 so far and its only 1745hrs. Two of at least 6 and also two of 5 on richter, rest were 3 or 4s. No deaths just injured reported so far. More buildings down, roads blocked, power , water and sewage disrupted to about 50,000 homes.

When will it ever end?

That is stunning news. I simply can not imagine the shock and horror of being hit that many times in such a short amount of time.

Chas:

Sorry to hear about this. Glad to her there are no deaths reported. As far as it ending.... The Pacific Rim has been rockin' and rollin' the last few years, so I hope it is soon.

Stay safe!

Jason
