Hi, these are parodies made in the very early 70's, when it was actually politically incorrect to make fun of our rock star heroes.

============================
Neil Young Parody
I remember the catch phrase from the 70's: "depressing Neil Young songs".

John Lennon Parody
Lennon (my imperfect hero) was in his fully bloated messianic heat when he granted an extensive interview to Rolling Stone magazine at the start of the 70's.
The interview was published in paperback as "Lennon Remembers", which I devoured as a teenager.

The following parody consists mostly of excerpts from this interview, the moral being "Genius is pain".
It's worth noting that John was experimenting with primal scream therapy at this time, when he had released his "John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band" album.
That explains the tone that the person imitating Lennon uses at the end.

WARNING -- VERY VERY OFFENSIVE LANGUAGE -- PLEASE WEAR EARPLUGS.
