Hey Willem,

Not a huge Elton fan but I think this tune is one of his best.

That's a great song! "Your Song" is one of my favorites and one I've sang a lot.

Others?

Have you ever heard "Song for Guy"? He wrote it in tribute to a young man who died on a motorcycle. He was their errand boy or some such. It is a haunting song, also. And what about "One More Arrow"? Don't know who that was written for.

Did you know Elton first played in America at the Troubadour in L.A.? (Not sure of the spelling; pretty sure of the city.) Know who introduced him? Neil Diamond. When he finished his set, there was blood on the piano keys, or so they say.

I've read a couple of books on Reg. Fascinating life--so far!

Sam

Sir Elton will almost be in his 50th decade in the music business, he's come a long way from Pub pianist earning 35 quid!

This is also one of my favourite songs of his Willem.
