Hi Gang,

I just caught wind of this thread and haven't read the whole thing but thought I could shed a little light on the subject. The main place I check for lesson ideas as spots open up in the schedule is the Recommend A Lesson section. I try to keep an eye on the top 200 or so but looking at the top 500 I see about 15 requests that would fit into this category. I'm sure you can do the math to see how this compares to the ratio of current lessons.

We also try to plan out the schedule of releases many weeks, even up to two months in advance, although occasionally changes are made for a variety of reasons and a lesson may get bumped into an earlier (or later) spot. I can tell you that a couple tunes from the list are in the pipeline, as well as one or two not on the list.

Stay Tuned...

Neil

Neil,

I appreciate your response. Speaking only for myself, regardless of what's taking place in the Recommend a Lesson section of the site, I wouldn't at all mind if you made it a point to push a female artist up the list so that we get at least one new lesson per month from one of them. Here's why:

1. Diversity is a good thing. This site is predominantly male, and it would be good for us to be exposed to the inner workings of songs made popular by women.
2. While this is likely the best guitar site out there, and the most easily marketable, providing a steady stream of lessons from female artists would allow you to attract more female customers. I happen to like females, and I'd like to see a lot more of them using this site and on this forum.
3. Many of us have females as wives, friends, girlfriends, and partners. We want to bring them into our guitar world by learning songs so that we can accompany them while they sing. A lot of women like to sing, and, in particular, they like to sing songs from female artists -- because they relate to other women and because the songs are more often in their vocal range than are songs from male artists.

Her tour with Leonardo Amuedo is absolutely fantastic, so I've attended one of those shows and have another one on Dvd. Gosh, that man can play the guitar OMG!

I would lóve to play like him! Breathtaking...

Well together they're a fantástic duo! I've attended one of their shows and it was just .........well priceless..!

Okay, forgive me my rave! :P
