Not only is TG the best guitar teaching site on the web with a fantastic teacher and teaching system and philosophy, it is also THE place to meet other like-minded guitar players. I firmly believe that the way members can socialise, contact each other and exchange songs, ideas and even off-topic stuff like photos and videos and events in their lives makes for the best possible social glue... a very strong motivation to log on every day.

TG has grown exponentially and the dedication and hard work by everyone behind the scenes has paid off big-time with all of the renewals and site updates. I am a little worried, though, that the socialising aspect has been impeded by the lost of our walls and the fact that when you add a photo or video... no one will notice it so there's not much point. We have dozens of groups but this feature is virtually hidden now. So I'd like to call out for some sort of re-establishment of a very prominently placed RECENT ACTIVITY feature, pretty much as we used to have it. Then we all see instantly who's doing what where and we can pick up on it, add comments and participate as we used to. I am convinced it will add greatly to the activity and inter-member exchanges and attractiveness of the site.

A number of folks have mentioned the same to me so I'd just like to launch a discussion about that and I'd like to know what the thinking is by the TG team on this issue. If it's technically possible, I'd love to see it happen.

PS: As an example of what I mean, I uploaded a video of my working weekend last week to share with any interested friends.... but I'm sure no one can see it or knows it's there and I didn't want to make a forum post for it. Any way its at my video's if you want to take a peek and comment.

Good suggestion, Chris. Thanks, Matt. As usual, not much gets past the TG team.

I'm with you on this Chris. Great to hear from Matt that they are onto it. The site whilst still the best has lost its way with the social aspect which was one of the keys of early success.
