Sue and I hosted an open mic in the upstairs above the barn. We had about 35 peoples show up and ten performers. It was just a great time of music and friendship. I have been playing out a lot a cafes and such but this was just even more fun because it was so layed back and full of audience participation. We had some students over from China as well and they sang some songs for us which added to the fun.

Hope you all enjoy the slide show,

Bud

Fantastic idea. First time hosting it? Of course, the next time you do it, you actually have to video record the night......

Buddy,

Looks like you had a nice turn-out, and a well organized event. The loft looks like such a cool place to gather. I was fortunate enough to jam in a barn when I was younger, but there were hay bales for seats, the floors were a bit uneven, and you could see through the cracks and knotholes to the outside in many places. Sort of like being on the back cover of the Harvest album.

I'm going along with some the others here . . . . . I'd really enjoy watching some videos and hearing some of the music that you all played if you've got it.

Also interested in things like how long you had planned it, how you got the word out, was it RSVP so you could get a head count, and any other factoids like that. Looks like you had refreshments (from the credits).

Thanks!

All those smiling faces are testament to how much fun that was.

And not a beer bottle to be seen! :-) ... Musta been some great entertainment!

Boy I wish I was a neighbor of yours Buddy. Since I'm not I'm grateful for the cyber-ponderosa.

I too would love to see some video but I’m guessing you had your hands full hosting this event.

Thanks for sharing your time with us.
