Very sad news. I remember seeing the movie Thank God it's Friday (in which she performs "Last Dance") when I was a little girl and thinking that she was so gorgeous and talented.

Speaking of "Thank God It's Friday," here's a friend of mine from my days in Los Angeles who had a good part in the movie. His real name is Chick Venerra and he's playing a Hispanic dancer named Marv Gomez.
