Hi everyone,

Dennis here. I just wanted to let you know that I published a book this past week, and I'd love it if you'd buy it, read it, and review it. That would mean a lot to me.

And one more thing: keep in mind that 99.99 percent of books go absolutely nowhere these days without word of mouth. That's where you come in (well, that's where you come in ... again). If you like the book, please recommend it to all your friends. Hopefully they'll recommend it to all their friends, and so on.

You're probably wondering what on earth a guy like me might write about that could fill an entire book. Here's the official description: The author was shoved into the workforce at age six, and he's had some of the most bizarre jobs ever since (such as dressing as the Scarecrow and singing for Judy Garland, auditioning for The Dating Game while on LSD, and running a projector at a porn theater owned by a rabbi). Fans of David Sedaris will love “If I Only Had a Brain,” a collection of gems that take you through one hilarious work-related misadventure after another.

"If I Only Had a Brain" is available for digital download in the following online stores:

The iTunes book store

Kindle:

Nook: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/if-i-on ... 0148189992

Kobo: http://store.kobobooks.com/en-US/ebook/ ... -a-brain-2

The good folks in countries other than the U.S. might not be able to use the above links, but your local versions of the Kindle, Nook, Kobo, and iTunes stores will likely have the book for sale.

Thanks so much in advance if you intend to purchase the book. I look forward to reading your reviews of it.

Dennis,
I've enjoyed your musings on this website for several years and have missed them recently. I expect that I will enjoy your new book tremendously. As a "late adopter" of technology, I would most enjoy the actual physical book as I read it. I gather that's not an option? If not, I can dust off my ipad.

No need to translate Willem......

It's one of those books you close your eyes to read.

Remember don't pick it up if you drop it !

Comes with sound effects too probably.

Willem: I'd love it if the book could be translated into about 100 languages, but I'm afraid that's not going to happen right away. I'm not sure how the chapter where I'm working as a projectionist in a porn theater would translate to, say, Greek. By the way, congratulations on the Netherlands' great showing in the Olympics.

Jay: C'mon, fire up that iPad, toddle on over to the iTunes store, and whip out your credit card. While a print version is in the plans, right now digital is the only way to go.

So I'm sitting in a cafe drinking a double espresso and trying to wake up as I'm about to walk into a conference where my CEO is bound to put me on the spot. People are looking at me funny... I guess it's the mischievous giggle that just erupted from my lips. :)

Yes, I'm reading Den's book. The official versions. I got quite an education and a lot of laughs the first time. I'm looking forward to seeing how things have changed and relivibg some of the funny, embarrassing and downright human adventures he has. This time I'm counting the references to men's genitalia. Yep he even manages to make a reference to Moby Dick that cracked me up. He's a talented man. :)

He's cracked me up many a time on the forum. It's great to see the rest of the world now has the opportunity to crack a wicked giggle too.

Den I LOVE your work.

Shel

Finally ... the male population of the world now knows what it would take to get you interested in male genitalia. Who knew all we had to do was write about it?

Please continue reading my book with your morning espresso, Shel. Just so you know, the thought of warm coffee spurting out of your nostrils fills me with glee.

Shel, thank you so much for your unceasing support. It means so much to me. You're a gem.
