I listened to it, could not make out all the lyrics, but it seems he is singing about the loss of a loved one, maybe his father? I agree it is a very heartfelt song and it got to me as well, particularly right now with some close friends dealing with life changing issues. I'd like to find the lyrics, do you know the song title?

Great song, Willem. Thanks for sharing with us.

I have one for you. I only recently discovered this version of this classic song. I love the old Hammond organ in this arrangement too.

Thank you Bill,,I discovered the same video after we got a lesson on this old classic,,I agree you can't think the Hammond away..

I do love songs that are brought little (lets say one guitar acoustic and singin) but I also love when they get big in a great arrangement such has your example.

Days, by Ray Davies. I think this is what you are looking for Chan. :)

Ray Davies - Days Lyrics

Artist: Ray Davies

Album: See My Friends

Genre: Rock

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I won’t forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that lights on you believe me.
And though you’re gone,
You’re with me every single day, believe me.

Days I’ll remember all my life,
Days when you can’t see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you’d leave me,
But it’s all right,
Now I’m not frightened of this world, believe me.

I wish today could be tomorrow,
The night is dark,
It just brings sorrow anyway.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I won’t forget a single day, believe me.

Days I’ll remember all my life,
Days when you can’t see wrong from right.
You took my life,
But then I knew that very soon you’d leave me,
But it’s all right,
Now I’m not frightened of this world, believe me.
Days.

Thank you for the days,
Those endless days, those sacred days you gave me.
I’m thinking of the days,
I won’t forget a single day, believe me.

I bless the light,
I bless the light that shines on you believe me.
And though you’re gone,
You’re with me every single day, believe me.
Days.

Thanks Tom!
I appreciate your efforts to find those for me, you must be a good typist (or cut and past artist!)

You're welcome Chan. Cut and paste it is.

I remember this song well though. :)
