And now for some stupid fun.

I saw this guy on Facebook the other day playing Devil Went Down to Georgia on an acoustic guitar against a washing machine as his drum machine. Very cool!

Here is an article that showcases some strange and unique instruments.

I LOVE the Yaybahar. Sooooo cool.

The Yaybahar is a new electric-free, totally acoustic instrument designed by Istanbul-based musician Gorkem Sen. The vibrations from the strings are transmitted via the coiled springs to the frame drums. These vibrations are turned into sound by the membranes which echo back and forth on the coiled springs. This results in an unique listening experience with an hypnotic surround sound.

This one looks like .... it might take a little practice. :)

Seen any other cool sounding or just plain weird musical instruments? Post them here just for the stupid fun of it. :)

This lady is amazing. There was a video of her doing all the parts for Stairway to Heaven on her channel, too, but it seems it ran afoul of a copyright claim.

When I first asked my creative mentor to recommend a good (cheap) starter bass to muck around with, he having a sense of humor similar to mine (be very afraid), he sent me this:

Of course it turns out it's unplayable but I was intrigued and hunted down the artist:

Thanks for contributing guys.

Luna's playing is fantastic. And the Buzzwood is very clever; much easier to transport than a drum kit. ;)

This is entirely CGI which, for obvious reasons, fascinates and inspires me.

Fantastic, beautiful, fascinating.

I think we may have seen that one or one very similar before. But it's definitely worth a number of viewings and listenings.

Thanks Mark.

Okay, so Rudi's sculptures aren't playable. Someone decided to up the ante and make an eight-necked axe you can actually play. Wow.
