Hey y'all!
It's been a while since we has a seriously silly thread; just for fun; or a plain stupid one. Probably because I haven't been around much.
What song (or album if you can't decide) best represents your life at the moment? What's the sound track of your life?
Maybe your grandkids are playing the Wiggles or Frozen on repeat.
If nothing comes to mind get creative. Stupid is encouraged. What would you like your life to sound like (song-wise) if you could choose? I'm expecting some of you blokey-blokes (translation of Aussie lingo: manly-men) might surprise us and jump in with "Dancing Queen" here. or if you can't find a song title that's suitable, you could describe what it sounds like. Mine would probably have a lot of construction noise in it; like hammers replacing the drums or bandsaws perhaps.
At this point I'm going with "Hi, Ho, Hi, Ho! (It's off to work we go)". I'm sure you can guess why. I do feel like I'm getting shorter too with all the stuff I've been carrying between work and my house. While I'm ok wearing a red pointy hat and carrying a construction tool over my shoulder, I'm really hoping I don't end up growing a beard.
David cracked me up with his non-answer to this question. So I thought I'd put it to you all.
So get silly, get stupid, get serious if you like. What's the song that best represents your life at the moment; real or imagined?
I'm hoping to get some great responses. Thanks in advance for playing.
Read you later.
Shel

The context being my finding the intestinal fortitude to start saying "no" to gigs that don't pay out commensurate with the time suck involved. I'm in that crazy phase of my business between having more work than I can comfortably handle but not steady enough to hire help. Gotta draw the line somewhere and that means maximizing buck for my bang. :side:

Sounds like a good business plan. And not a bad motto quite often. .The context being my finding the intestinal fortitude to start saying "no" to gigs that don't pay out commensurate with the time suck involved.
