Although there are no guitars in the musical score. It's full of wonderful stringed instruments that are played with a bow rather than being plucked like a guitar is.

The film Metropolis was released in 1929. The basic premise are class struggles between the rich and the poor. Its setting is a huge, futuristic city called Metropolis. The rich people live at the surface while the working people struggle to survive deep down below the surface of Metropolis.

Freder, the son of the commander of Metropolis, is enjoying himself among the gardens and playgrounds of the wealthy when Maria, a daughter of the foreman of the working class, ascends from the depths of the city with her children as she was a teacher. She said to them, "look children, these are your brothers and sisters!"

They were quickly ushered away. back to the depths of the city, but Freder was intrigued by Maria and followed her and saw the inhumane conditions the workers had to endure, operating machines, to feed their families.

It's the loveliest scene of the film.

Lots of love to all of you at TotallyGuitars,
