R Mctell
Funny we should get on a Ralph McTell kick. In Amsterdam at IGC Tom treated us to Streets Of London, which reminded me of a song of Ralph's I used to play a lot, Grand Affaire. Coincidentally Dave Nach then played it at our California IGC.
For Ralph McTell fans, I shared this video with Dave after he performed that song at IGC. it was making the rounds a while back. The "Trial of Ralph McTell". (Might actually belong in the thread named "Guitar Humor", but how often do you see a thread on Ralph McTell?)

Ralph's best song is still the traditional English ballad "Girl from the Hiring Fair" from 1986 which I tried to play at IGC 2 with only modest success. Of course, Streets of London remains his greatest hit but I love the melody (and lyrics) of Hiring Fair. Ralph McTell is a very under-rated musician who has had a significant influence on the British folk scene.
