I have looked and looked on the website and I cannot find any clear information about what the Guitar Pro software actually does and what its purposes and benefits are. I see that there is a free trial of the software, but I don't want to download it without knowing anything at all about it. Can anyone please give me a description of what it is for and how it adds to the process of learning the tutorials I am paying for?

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the question, and I'm sure others have the same.

I use Guitar Pro to create the tab for lessons. Most of my students use it to play the files made with it. That way you can follow the music while listening to it. You can also slow it down and change keys.

It looks the same as the pdf file (which is created from the GPro file when finished), but you can do practical stuff with it.

Maybe some other users will weigh in...?

Neil
