I have my BSG in dropped D tuning lately working on Fleetwood Mac's The Chain which is fun but slow going for me. Then I remembered a song I heard 30 years ago by an Australian folk singer/song writer called John Williamson. Raining on the Rock struck me as a powerful song and its in dropped D, so.....

Looked up Neil's Rocky Mountain High by John Denver and that's in dropped D too so I have a nice rotation of songs to work on while my BSG is parked in dropped D.

I am also in A=432 Hrz.

Very nicely done, as usual.

Two additional Drop D songs to add to your list are Fishermans Blues and Dear Prudence.

Thanks for tuning in Jay! Yeah, Dear Prudence might be cool to do.
Just need to mention that The Chain is actually in double dropped D.

Chris,

Sorry a little late to your post. Well done! It's nice to have a guitar that you can leave in a tuning. I just own one guitar so I have to change tunings back and forth. My current dropped D songs are Can't Find My Way Home and the Monkees Daydream Believer. My double dropped D tuning song is Led Zeppelin's Goning To California.

Great to hear from you. Great job on your post.

Craig

Thanks for dropping by Moose.

Thanks Craig, good to hear from you! Yeah, happiness is having enough guitars :-). I also keep my 12 string in open C so I can play Question every now and then. Going to California you say... I shall take a look at that too...

I don’t mind switching from standard tuning to dropped D or double dropped D ….too much. I do keep a guitar in open D (capoed for open E).
