Neil,

i just joined and i'm very excited. after years of surfing and fooling around i decided to get serious after seeing some of your preview clips

one thing i've noticed is the guitar you feature in your lessons has a headstock similar to my cedar seagull. is it a seagull or another brand. it looks to be a spruce top but the shape sure looks like a seagull but i can't make out the name or see a logo. can you tell me what model it is if seagull and if not what guitar is it.

i am amazed at the content within the site as well as the resources. i spent a few hours already and am quite impressed and look forward to learning many techniques "correctly"

thanks

tom

Hi Tom, Neils main guitar we see is made by Ed Claxton, i think from Santa Cruz. Why don't you jump over to the 'Please Introduce yourself here post and tell us about yourself and music interests, its painless and most members will be sure to welcome you from there.

Hi Tom. You're right, Neil's guitar does resemble a Seagull guitar. But as Chas said, Neil's primary guitar is a handmade guitar by Ed Claxton.

On a few of the lessons, Neil plays another handmade guitar by Santa Cruz.

Glad you found us. Welcome.

thanks for the replies. i've heard of the santa cruz guitars as one of the best companies out there.
i can't begin to think how much a custom made santa cruz runs. i've seen them go for 3,000-4,000 easy and i think those were not custom.
nice guitar to hope for some day. i really like my seagull s6 as my current acoustic and will hope someday i can afford a guitar like that.

thanks again for the answers.

happy playing

tom
