Hello Neil
Out of the 3 minute challenge the idea of 3-5 minute micro learning sessions has been posited as a great way to learn. My problem with this is that I’m not Pete Townshend and I can’t just “pick up my guitar and play”. I have to spend about 10 minutes warming up so I’m reasonably confident my left hand will fret the right strings and my right hand will hit the right strings. I’m sure I can’t be alone in this.
If I were to try, for instance, Thick as a Brick without warming up, the cacophony would be unbearable.
I suppose my question is, is it better to try something for 3 - 5 minutes several times a day, regardless of how it sounds or sticking to a warm up and one longer session?
I hope this makes sense and I would love to know what you think.
Cheers
Julian
