Not too sure about Neil's dress sense though, they cut to a shot of him recording a newish album and he was wearing shorts with whits socks half way up his leg..

The wardrobe comes with the profession. There are 3 uniforms for guitar teachers;
1. Aloha shirt with shorts and optional knee socks.
2. Ripped jeans and old stained t-shirt with last weeks lunch still on it.
3. Flamenco shirt with spandex pants and ankle boots.

I have to side with Neil on this one. He made a good choice.

Did you guys know there is nothing Hawaiian about Hawaiian shirts? They were invented by a Japanese businessman in the 40's primarily for US servicemen serving in the Islands.

The native Hawaiians originally rejected them as being too casual and not representative of Hawaiian culture, still a source of great pride to the natives. But they became so popular the locals gradually embraced them and eventually they made their way to Los Gatos where a local music teacher bought every single one imported into the United States! That's why to this day, there is only one guy in all of California that wears Hawaiian shirts every day. And this gave birth to the many millions of California jokes!!

True story! ;-)
