Hey thanks for the link I will check it out

Hey I am guilty of taking the short cut as time is crucial for me a I am studying at the moment. I honestly dont get the time to search as i would like, when i get spare time i like to be practising and i need a lot :P  so the wife tells me anyway.

+1 on its not the most user friendly site I have been on

best instruction though so pros out weigh cons

thanks for the help

now where is the introduce me bit, I cant even find that

Brad
Brad when looking for something, try the advanced Search at the top of this page near your avatar, it should help.

Brad, This is a comment we hear from time to time, it would be very useful to Matt (site owner) and his team if rather than just say its not user friendly, it would be more useful to say why and maybe to suggest alternatives. Some of us that have been here for sometime just don't see what exactly is needing fixed as we are so used to the place. If your honest and not derogatory Matt likes feedback.

cheers'cya around the site now I guess

Sorry was not meant to be derogratory :)

E.G I am a beginner looking for beginners course. Instead of a beginners course tab at top of home page its a sub link of target but you only discover that after going through every other tab to find it. Then it takes you to another page and its not there, then you scroll down and it is right at the bottom of right hand side it takes a bit of effprt and time to find stuff hence not user friendly comment.

E.G the introduce me thread is in fine print along with 30 other topics so you have to read everyone before you find it.

Most sites I have been on (bike sites) its the first sticky thread at the top of the forum easy to find. I think having all beginners material in one tab link on home page etc..

if i think of anything else will post later.

But once you have had a play you start to get familiar with it, but I understand the difficulty because there is a lot of information on here

Didn't think you were being derogatory in the slightest, but the comments you make are valuable and hey a lot of us have been here so long we do take a lot for granted. Matt has mentioned a major overhaul of the site is on the cards in the not too distant future and he asked me to compile comments and list categories etc, so I may message him your comments as they are valid in my mind.

cheers

thanks for your help

Brad, for an overview, use the master menu on the top right of this page. Everything from the site is listed in one page.

Yeh I found that after and used it

but hey you know most guys throw out the manual when they get a new toy to construct and only resort to that when all other efforts to avoid it fail

I just wanted to get into the course and start , I thought I knew websites but this one is a little tricker and using the tut probably would have been wisest move in hindsight

I hear you. Manuals are like cryptonite to a guy!! Hate 'em. Don't even get me started on directions!!

You'll get used to navigating here (if you're not already). It's pretty straightforward once you've been around for a while.
