Hi Neil
I am currently learn to play the needle and the damage done, but once again and it is very important in this song as you can tell, i am facing my biggest problem with a pick: i have a very hard time to hit the right cords when i dont look at the guitar while playing
I have been practicing for months now trying to hit with a pick properly but nothing has much changed and the needle and the damage done sounds terrible... i am so frustrated.
Do you have some techniques that i could use to solve my problem: i am practicing on pentatonic scales to improve but the problem comes when i hit the cords in another order than the pentatonic scale
Anyway hope that you can help me as you always did and thank you again for you work: you are the only teacher that I have and the best one. I am already talking my friends into joining the site, they won't regret it!!!
Vincent
PS. sorry for my english i am just a french guy!!
Problem hitting the right cords
Hi Vincent,
Do you mean hitting the right string or chord? If it's string, you have to slow down the tempo when you practice and watching closely as the pick makes contact with the string. Repeat this over and over very slowly going through the whole song, then as you become more accurate, start speeding up a little at a time. It's ok to watch when you're learning and then after you have the song down, practice not looking. Blessings, Tom
