Neil,
I am thinking about spreading the news about TG and was considering
creating a poster/flier for distributing in public places. Then I thought
it wise to suggest that your crew take on the design of the flier to provide
consistence across the board. I attend college at night and there are bulletin
boards available. This would definitely increase hits on the web site and
potentially increase membership. Nothing like word of mouth to sell a
product or program. Your thoughts?

Hi Jim
I had an idea about your idea. If Neil and the guys were to agree, how about some sort of system where if we can get people to subscribe to TG, we get some sort of payment for it..something like..people sign up for a year and we a few months free..that way everyone benefits?
I'll leave others to iron out the details, but just thought I'd mention it.
Thanks
Joe

Seriously speaking though, I would put fliers up for TG if they wanted me to. I have told several of my friends about the site and think that two or three are seriously considering signing up. I was actually able to play them some songs and it was quite fun. They wanted to know how I improved so much and I told them about the site and to check it out on the free side for a while and then give the TARGET side a chance. We'll see.

If we set it up correctly, we can copy the Pampered Chef method, and have monthly parties for new recruits.......lol :blink:heyjoe wrote:Sounds a bit like Amway! lolHi Jim

If the goal is to increase the membership as much as possible that would be a good way of doing it. Give a free month for each new member that stays for more than a month?
Remember Chas, this is ostensibly a for-profit business venture. As much as we would like it to be free, and much of it is, it's still a business!! :cheer:

I realise that but some ways of advertising and promotions are tacky, and in some parts of the world are the butt of jokes. Also if you're not careful tacky promotions can detract from the quality product, It might be naiive but it would be nice if products were sold on merit , value, quality. I don't think TG would have a problem there at allIf the goal is to increase the membership as much as possible that would be a good way of doing it. BigBear lets not invite lollygagging and skylarking(I think you called it topic turning lol). I am hoping to get feedback from Neil before the end of the month. If he has to wade through an endless thread of off topic comments, it may take longer to get replys. If the goal is to increase the membership as much as possible that would be a good way of doing it. hey all
We have an affiliate system coming...this enables you to refer people with your affiliate link and be paid for the recommendation for the life of that member, or if they buy a single lesson a fixed percentage of the sale..We are changing target soon, so we have held of on this ..but it is on its way..
If you want to send people here altruistically with posters and the like..feel free to do so, its an awesome guesture..we are not focused on money ...if we were we wouldnt be doing it this way completely, and we do not want target to become unwieldy in terms of people in teh program, but the more folk the better in the community obviously..a ton of people are lurkers..they are on here..never post or contribute , but watch ...
I love your enthusiasm and we have a lot of engineering going on , I will probably pull this thread soon, as this is the kind of thing Id like to keep on PM, to me., when you have an idea ..we have thought of trials etc..for now, it is not the right time..20 bucks is so cheap , we have so much content demonstrating the value ...but thats another line of discussion, free is not something that is psychologically great for a website sometimes..
The thing about people joining tg is its free to come in and spend a spell, then they can decide over time whether to join Target, or try Target for a month..its not going to be up their much longer, so their simply is nothing to lose by coming and joining the free part of the site, interacting with you guys etc etc..
Anyways nice post..
