Hi everyone, just joined about a week ago. I've been learning since June and having a great time. It's become (almost) an obsession. Isn't it amazing how may resources are available now compared to just a few years ago? I joined becuase of Neil's abilities in all areas - Theory, strumming, flat picking and figer picking. Plus, I love the songs he has posted since I'm a child of classic rock! Currently working on Melissa, Old Man and a couple of campfire songs. Those chords in Melissa sound great and the techniques in "Old Man" are really streching me.
I have couple of song suggestions:
"Into the Mytic" by Van Morrison. I think this would be a worthy song becuase of it's interesting strumming, use of a capo and dynamic range.
Something from the acoustic work of Nancy Wilson of Heart (Love Alive, Dreamboat Annie, Crazy on you...).
Thanks and keep the music going!

Houtexcc: Welcome from Ventura, CA! Glad you joined up, and glad you are enjoying it here. It is a great time. I like your song suggestions! Would love either of them as well. I see you picked up on the "Teaching" part of the songs, as they are an important factor as to whether or not Neil will do something. Hope to see you more around the forums. Also be sure to check in with the groups, as there is a load of info and fun over there as well.
Cheers!

Welcome houtexcc to the forums. Sounds like you've been enjoying yourself and working hard behind the scenes! Hope to see you are more often! Chris
Thanks for the welcome, glad to be here and good suggestions. Any groups you find that stand out? Im pretty much interested in all things related to technique. I'm looking at the different "band" groups but I know that's such a personal thing.
