Any chance of being able to get the music written usually as tab on the site as old fashioned notation?

Hi Jenny,

I probably have everything in standard notation as well as TAB. What are you looking for?

Hi Jenny,

If Neil doesn't have it I probably will or I can convert the PDF to notation. Just use the PM function and ask me anytime.

regards

Chas

I added it as an attachment to the lesson- Fire and Rain Notation. Check it out and let me know if it helps.

I think this is a great idea Neil, I like the idea as it helps me learn standard notation.

I have been using the TAB to create standard notation using Tuxguitar in an attempt to understand timing a little better. I want to learn notation since it is a weak spot in my education.

Having the notation and the TAB is the best of both worlds for me. I realize that songs like Blackbird don't translate easily to notation. TGs TAB for this shows 5 beats in some measures but calls out 4/4 timing. I can't build a notation measure from this.

If you mean looking at Neils tab there may be 5 notes but two of them are Eighth therefore making up the 4 beats.. The two joined notes are the Eighth's the other 3 are quarters.

The TAB doesn't show quarter and half notes or does it? Is it visible in the distance between notes?

Thanks in advance,
