Kevin,

There was some real pioneering work done here by a few people to pave the way for the rest of us to get our videos up on TG.

Most notably, Acoustic Al walked many of us through our first posts, and TG Jim wrote an excellent tutorial on the TG Student Video Forum category to walk us through the upload process.

There are several options to make a recording to upload. Web cams and digital cameras are both widely used as well as camcorders, and we all had pretty good success. Acoustic Al was a big help to many of us.

Check out the TG Video Techies Group and the TG Student Review forum thread to read about some of the tips we needed to get us started. I felt pretty awkward getting my first video up, but it really comes together quickly, and after the first one they are quite easy. Ask all the questions you need to; there's plenty of friendly help here.

We'll be looking forward to seeing for videos.

Wrench you beat me to the punch.

Kevin,

Let me try to explain a thread..

A thread is a series of related comments that people post. You created a thread by posting your comment. I'm adding to the thread by responding. If you look under the tabs at the top of the forum section (just above your avatar), you'll see 'categories'. All the threads are organized into categories so we can find things we're interested in.

You'll see TG has MANY hallways you can get lost in, and have a ball doing it! As Wrench said, TG Techies is a group where people share info and ideas on what they're recording with. I created the group to have a central spot for info like what you're looking for. Join the group and poke around in there for a while and see if you find some answers. I've posted a lot of links and started a few discussions. No shortage of info in there.

Good luck and congrats on your first thread!

TG Techies is not a thread- it's a group. You'll find discussions (threads) inside it. Here's where it's located. For future reference, you'll find it under the 'community' tab- then 'Groups' tab.
