Guys,

when I go into the lessons here, they seem to be sticking for some reason. I've tried to clear up my hard drive or whatever, i might have deleted something, I don't know. I never used to have this problem. What do I need to make these videos run smoothly? Can anyone help?

Hi mate. This sort of problem has nothing to do with your hard drive. It's a buffering issue. When you play a streaming video, the program buffers the content, in other words stores it temporarily so that it can be played continuously. Depending on the speed of you connection is how well it does that. I suggest when you hit play on a video, just hit the pause button for a minute or so. The content will then buffer and with luck, when you hit play again it will play continuously. If not, you need to check out a quicker broadband plan. (Or quit some programs as Dennis has said, that's the other reason for this). Cheers hope that helps

Clearing your hard drive likely isn't the solution to this problem. It may be that it's an available-memory problem. You might try quitting all unnecessary programs before you try to view a video. See if that helps, and let us know either way.

Alrighty! Thanks for the help lads. I've been trying the old pause/buffer trick, but it still wasn't working. I'm clearing my online storage and deleting my unnecessary programs. I think it should work!!

Cheers

Just to clarify, I said QUIT all unnecessary programs, not DELETE them. What you want to do is free up memory, not hard disk space.

No, it's alright. Norton keeps trying to get me to buy more online storage by telling me I'm At Risk because my online storage is low on space. Well, sorry Norton, but you'll have to get out of bed earlier than that to catch me out! I'm deleting my online backup - how do you like me now? Carpet 1, Norton 0. Fight the power!!

It's cool, i've got plenty of programs that I don't use and that just eat up my space for no reason. I hope I didn't delete something that allows these videos to play smoothly though - it's still not working...

Get a good PC cleaner like CC Cleaner its freeware and works well. Also check your Broadband speed here,

http://www.speedtest.net

You may not be getting the speed your provider claims.
