Have you seen Roger Waters rendition of Brain Damage on Youtube? He fingerpicks the entire song. It's pretty nice. Perhaps you could post a video on how he fingerpicks the part that you strum on your video. Also, he does not use the G7 chord; not sure what he uses.

I can answer the bit about the G7 chord.

It is a G7 chord but it is only the top part of it.
So its open D string, open G string, open B string and first fret on the E string.

He alternates the bass between the 4th and 3rd strings (open D and open G strings)
