Neil (or any other TG'er with advice),

I have been playing the intro to The Weight. Neil has taught it using a pick but hitting at times 2-3 strings at the same time. I have found myself holding the pick with my thumb and index finger and using my middle and third fingers to do pinches to get the other strings.
Is anyone else doing this? Any comments or advice?

I have certainly seen this technique used from time to time, but have dismissed it as an advanced technique not suitable for beginner/intermediate types. Having seen your videos, my guess is that this would be an appropriate technique for you to learn at this stage. As for this particular song, I can't say as I have not yet tackled this one.
