Changing Tempo in "I Want You (She's So Heavy)"

Hello Neil,
I've just started working on your short lesson on the Beatles' "I Want You." Thanks first of all for this great lesson. I have a question of the tempo of the 6/8 and 4/4 sections of the song.
Playing the 4/4 solo section at 90bpm, as in the GP file, sounds about right. But the arpeggiated 6/8 section sounds rushed at this rate -- 70bpm sounds much better. I noticed in your comments on Beaker's upload that you suggested slowing it down. So my question is whether you think it is okay to play the 6/8 section at 70bpm and the 4/4 section at 90bpm.
