Neil - you do a great job teaching the Roundabout riff but its frustrating not learning the rest of the song! Why not teach the chords that follow? And the intro too would be great...

Hi Debbro, the intro is what Neil teaches, is that section that you mean when you say he teaches the riff?
Welcome aboard by the way

Wow, now that is a really cool version of a Rock Classic.
Thanks for sharing that. I've never known what the singers name was, but he sounds just the same as he did when the song came out back when we were all young.

Anybody know how to get a question answered by Neil? Just want to know why he doesn't have the chords to Roundabout... Seems its not too hard to add in so we have the complete song

Hey man. Sometimes Neil answers directly in the forum but as you can probably appreciate he is a pretty busy guy 110% of the time. The only thing to do is go to the recommend a lesson section on the left here under 'Community Features' and put your request in. If enough members agree with your request it may get done. Like you said it doesn't seem too hard in terms of the chords so really, it shouldn't be too hard for you to find them even if Neil doesn't add to the lesson so you can learn the full tune yourself. Good luck with it.

Hi Gang,
Sorry to have missed a lot of stuff here over the last few days, been catching up on future stuff...
Roundabout was one of our first entries in the Intros, Riffs & Licks Series and I had a hard time deciding how much or it to do, intending to do a complete acoustic version in the near future (at the time). Like many things here at TG, sometimes priorities and directions change and I can't always follow up as quickly as I would like. The tab I have as the intro is everything Steve plays before the vocals enter. The harmonics at the 5th, 7th, and 12th frets are what he plays in lieu of full chords. The chords would be
Em F#m G F#m G F#m Em
Em F#m G F#m Em
followed by the run that is in the last measure.
Once the vocals start it continues with the same series before heading into
Am Bm C D C Bm Am
Bm Bm/A Bm/G Gsus4
which takes you up to the line 'in and out the valley.'
Hopefully that will tide you over until I can get to a complete lesson on this classic.
Neil
