I have been looking for On the Way Home for a while now. I first saw it on youtube .... which directed me to your site ... then I paid (dearly).
then I learned that "On the Way Home' is not a lesson, just a teaser .... but I could probably work with it from the video .... but where is it. I cannot find it. Do I need to use only You Tube????

Also, I think you need to make your web site more navigable. Many of the comments I have read complain about how difficult it is to get around on your site , and the intense marketing for spending more money.

I happen to think you have a good product, but you should now be considerate of your customers.

I feel like your site is similar to a cruise that I recently took. The price of the fair was almost reasonable, but every crewman was desperately trying to get their hands on my wallet by selling pictures, drinks, demanding tips. I will never take a cruise again.

I really hope you change your web site.

I once read something written by Buckminster Fuller, about a car manufacturer's board meeting .... like (I do not remember the exact words)

The question was posed: "Could they make more money selling 10,000 cars at $10,000 or by selling 1,000,000 cars at $5,000."

Hi Rtob,
I couldn't find it either after I read your post.

You could go to recommend a lesson and put it forward and if enough people vote for it, or Neil wants to do it, then you may get a lesson after all. Worth a go.
The button is on the left side master menu. Good luck!

First of all,,this is the best site for acoustic guitar teaching there is,,really,, you can't deny that..when your lesson is not up yet you can find the teaser(which allready have so much in them) only on You tube..

Okay some times its very difficult to find something back but there are tools when used you have everything in the pocket...my favourite button is such a thing..

I sure know that mousses work hard to get everything done for us members..

Love it here,,,,,,

Do not misunderstand .... I really like the lessons I can find .... Like a kid in a candy store.

But, the site SHOULD be easier to navigate. AND less blatant about sales pitches.

It is my choice to come here though.

Oh, 1 more comment about "on the way home". It would be nice to have the chord fingerlings available since Neil took the teaser of the web site. I could then go to you tube

HI Rtob and welcome!

I feel for you if you came here on a teaser if there is nothing here for you on that, I guess the teaser should at least be archived here. I'm betting nearly all of us came here for the same reason but probably different song. And like you, we all found ourselves in a candy store with no one watching what we stuff in our pockets. SO we got way more than we bargained for. And stuffing our pockets is legit because as a TARGET member you have paid for everything already. So this is like a cruise ship with everything all-included. So I'm not sure why you feel you are being asked to spend more... you should also not be seeing the adds as a TARGET member, just the content.. and you've paid all you are ever going to... until the (annual?)membership is up for renewal. Maybe you are referring to the odd email advertising new stuff, I agree a TARGET member doesn't need to get those mails... but otherwise I don't know why you feel anyone has his hands out after your wallet... especially at the bargain price TARGET comes at. Can you enlighten?

About the navigation. I may be blind to that having been here a while and seen the constant improvements but just looking through now it all seems clear. where to find the lessons, the artists, the new lessons, the forums etc. I agree that the groups and personal blogs and stuff are now hidden away in the dungeons but over all it is pretty swift navigation... for a site with so much stuff available... but please do say which bits are not good and what you'd like to have improved.

Hope you have a ball here!
Chris

I agree with Chris, I have never been pushed to buy more stuff as a Target member.

Hang in there Robt, I believe you will find the site navigation getting easier with use as well.

Saying that you don't like the navigation is well within your rights, but it's sort of like walking up to a person and saying, "I don't like you," then walking away. It's a bombshell that provides no actionable input. If you have problems with the navigation, be specific about what you think should be improved.

I've never been a fan of the YouTube teaser videos that lead a person to a dead end on this site. This site is miles beyond any other site I've found in terms of both number and quality of lessons, but I'd love to see all teaser lessons turned into real lessons on the site.

robt

Be ye not dismayed!

There are folks on this site who could probably listen to the song and ferret out the chords for you. Or someone may have that song somewhere in their archives.

One item TG recommends is Song Surgeon. You may download and use this software for like four hours or some such absolutely free. You might want to try it. You can slow your song down to 1/2 and you might hear the chords yourself.

Welcome.

I saw the message on the tube,,''is coming soon'' but was two months ago,,,I think it is in the pipeline and you as a target member can keep your wallet in your pocket and have fun with the lesson,,,which is sure gonna be fun on the top strings triads...
