For some reason the topic you posted does not accept replies and it does not appear to be locked.

I wrote an email to Seiko asking what they considered a replacement for the now obsolete SQ100/70.

I was advised that the Seiko SQ200 is the nearest model.

Seiko SQ 200

At the bottom right corner of the webpage there's links for:

1. Sound Samples
2. Specifications
3. User Manual Pdf

I don't know what volume it produces but there is a volume control.

Edit
I purchased this one in the end and am happy with it.
It means I don' need to put my laptop on.

I usually use a free web version (there are several) or I use the built-in one on my keyboard. Neither of these options have any features except being able to set the BPM but I don't see the need for much else to be honest.

The one I have on my laptop is Fine Metronome.

It's quite good in that there's also a flashing display count, (which can be re-sized in the monitor to any size) so you don't need to have it loud.
I can also select from many sounds.

Just downloaded Fine Metronome. It's just what I needed. Thanks for the input.

An online version I use a lot - just click the BPM you want around the circle to start it.

I'm pleased you like the Fine Metronome.... it's quite a nice one with a lot of features.

I think I have used it in the past.

If you're in a band, then you never stop using the metronome. It just changes names and is called a drummer.
