I can play the D G5 ASus4 strum .

Could you do an add-on video to breakdown / slow-mo of this three barre chord strum.
Listen to attached file you recorded ... F Major, Bb (no 5), F Major, G7minor ?

It's tricky getting the chord changes with the barre chords :S

I forgot to attach the open chord strum I can do from the lesson Part 2.
It's improved further since the recording.

For me it'll take a long time to make it sound more confident and natural.
Any advice regarding this?

A Slow-mo / breakdown of the Barre Chord Version would be helpful for me.
See attachment in first post above.

Don't do it. It can't sound like what you hear in the song. The chords would be F, Bbsus2, C7sus4. Mike Campbell plays 3-string reductions of those as the second guitar part.

Thanks.

Definitely NOT !
Just play the barre chords as an exercise that's all.

Great lesson, got me thinking about the Capo again.

"Take the capo higher by a whole step and play it a whole step lower.
Up to Fret 3 we are now in the key of D"

Can you remind me how you reason that out to be D .

Thanks for the video answer in the news with chord corrections too.

F, BbSus2 and CSus4

Have a great week

Edited Edit
I just watched the lesson Part 4 again.....

Taking the Capo Higher a Whole Step Playing in Key of E = Key of G Absolute.
Playing a Whole Step lower from Key of E using the Key of D chord shapes , drops the key a whole step from Absolute Key of G to Absolute Key of F.

Playing using the Chord shapes from the Key of D, the root is found on S4 F3 (under the capo) F.

Is there an easy memorable way to reason out the theory behind the capo.
removing the mystery of explanations throughout the internet with respect to Key changes and Transposition etc ?

Thanks for the feedback.
Yes I am making way to much noise about the capo.
Looking across the internet, I'm not alone.

I just haven't used it much but can see it's advantages especially if playing with someone else.

It was the explanation Neil gave during the video lesson that through me.
Take the capo higher by a whole step and play it a whole step lower.
So by coming up to the third fret we can now be in the key of D.
Meaning we're playing in the relative Key of D (using open D shaped chord with capo at fret 3 ) and in the absolute Key of F
in which Freefallin is played..... I didn't understand that, but get it now. :cheer:

I've attached a note I made for myself, maybe it will help another mere mortal like myself.

Capo is a bar/finger.
