Going through the Fingerpicking 101 course. Any tips on how to ensure my fingers keep hitting the proper strings? As soon as my index, middle, and ring finger hit their strings, I fumble to get them to hit their proper string again consistently.... I lose my finger placement. I'm not lifting them up high, but without any sort of anchor for spatial reference, I'm finding this difficult. :?
thanks.

Hi,

Try to make sure no part of your hand is moving, other than the joints of your fingers. The big knuckles on the back of your hand should be stationary, as well as everything above them, all the way up your arm. Also make sure you are digging in to the strings a bit, meaning plucking out from the strings into your palm a little.

I hope this makes sense and helps, but keep me posted.

Neil
