Just found out the first 2 serial # digits with Takamine indicate the year so mine is a '99, same as my Taylor

The EF385 looks very similar to mine although it had Graph X electronics equaliser. Do you have a serial number? I have a site that can put exact dates on Taks. Its not a lawsuit model (ones with a Martin style headstock)

According to the website:
The guitar was manufactured Saturday, July 10th, 1999. It was the 04th guitar made that day.

My sisters became Canadians (Ottawa)and I love visiting Canada... never made it to Vancouver yet but that is one place I really want to visit. You will love TG, what, with Neil and the Muppet Show (Chas, Bear, Andy and Co.) how can you go wrong? Great folks! I love my Takamine 12 string (EN-10-12) and didn't know 'til just now about the serial number: 85010621. Can you tell me where to check that out? The12 is as follows: The guitar was manufactured Sunday, January 06th, 1985. It was the 21st guitar made that day.

The EN60C is :The guitar was manufactured Wednesday, November 01st, 1989. It was the 27th guitar made that day.
