I'll be opening German lessons for Chas and Jim shortly... Bear will probably be in with some help for you too. If it all gets too confusing we'll get Willem in to clear things up :-) As Willem would say, I hope all your thumbs are pointing upstairs now! (Joe... you'll get used to this, consider it all part of your warm welcome to TG)

DO Americans shorten German words and spell them in a wierd manner as well!!

Yep, that would be the English miss-translation.
Gute = Good
Fahrt = Trip (travel, Journey, drive)

On Autobahns you get lots of signs wishing you Gute Fahrt!
So good wind to you all! Just not when I'm around!
