Hey MJ, Very cool, I have an 8" Newtonian myself that I need to take out more often.
They are fun, just took a looooonnnngggg time for me to figure out how to colimate it. Got it now though and I can get decent views of Jupiter lately. A bit fuzzy because of the light pollution in my back yard. Would love to take it up to view the skies from about 12,000 feet...... Oh man...... :)

That would be really sweet. The best thing about Dobsonian's is how easy they are to transport compared to mine. Happy gazing.

McFingers, yes I know Chico well, my stepson went to Chico state for several years although he moved back to GV. Look forward to TG interactions in the future. Have you learned many of the songs on TG?? Gary

Haaa! I see we share more than an interest in music. Our sense of humor is very similar too and I can't spell worth a hill of beans either.

Hi Steve; nice to meet you! My sister & husband live in Sacramento, both nurses. Haven't been there yet, did visit them when they lived in Santa Rosa tho. Jr. High huh? You must have alot of patience; my youngest is in 7th. They begin their metamorphisis (is that spelled right?) into being teen-wolves then! :P You have a nice collection of guitars; been hearing alot around here about Taylors.

Howdy back, Don't worry, with any luck your 7th grader will return to human form shortly after high school. Sometimes they return even sooner. My daughter went through her phase betwee 16-20. She survived and is now quite human and lovely again.

Yes, Taylor guitar is doing something right. I have had mine for just over a year and I am most impressed with it. It is, at the same time, the bottom of the line (Taylor 110) and the best sounding guitar I have ever owned. I love my Martin 00018. But the sound quality from the Taylor is amazing. Nice to make your acquaintance and I hope to see you around the boards.

Cheers, Steve
