Welcome aboard Capt.
One of these days I will get to Austin and visit 6th Street. I understand there are great clubs lined up one right after the other, all with live music of all types. B)

Hey Kirk

Welcome to the forum.
As you can probably already tell you've made a few people jealous already, living in Austin Texas, its a holy grail place for some of us.

You'll not be surprised to know that there are quite a few SRV fans on here, me most certainly included. There's nothing like putting 13-62 guage strings on a strat, tuning to E flat, putting it through a valve fender amp and playing pride and joy is there.

Go on, tell us you saw him play, and see how green with envy we can turn!!

Chas, I knew there was a reason I liked you, SRV, plain and simple.

Hope you enjoy your time on site Kirk, its a great place to be.

Joe

6TH ST is only a fraction - So. Congress Ave, the Warehouse district and many more venues that offer just about any style of music. Ever heard of ACL festival? Never been myself, but people from all over the world trek here annually for the Austin City Limits Festival.

Welcome to TG Captain! Texas seems to love this place, which makes sense because we all do. See you around the forums.

Welcome fellow Texans,
I do have a question for captian, do you know when the Austin City Limits Festival will be? It's really only about a two and a half hour drive....I would love to check it out. B)
