That's actually been asked and answered here in the forum a couple of times already.

He also covered it in detail in one of the TG Live sessions.

He has 2 that he uses all the time.

A custom built Santa Cruz and I'm too tired to recall the other one at the moment. Been up all night getting things ready for Christmas.

The other is a Claxton, I believe.

Jayswett is correct, it's made by ed claxton, if you google his name you can learn a lot more about the beautiful guitars he makes.

The guys are correct, a Santa Cruz and an Ed Claxton are Neils main guitars. Now we've revealed that bit of info how about you revealing a bit about yourself where you from and what your music tastes are etc. Most of us have done that and its painless. You are at least in the right spot on this thread for that. Check back and read about your fellow TG'ers.

Anyways welcome and enjoy the site and the camraderie that exists here,

regards

Chas

Thank you all for the quick responses. I discovered this site a few days ago and am really enjoying it. I live in a small town called Aptos, about 10 miles south of Santa Cruz, with my wife and 5-year old son. I've been playing guitar for a couple years and would probably be considered intermediate, but with a whole lot left to learn. I recently decided to buy a decent guitar. I looked at locally made Santa Cruz guitars, but decided they are a bit out of my price range, so I finally opted for a used Taylor 614ce that I found on Craig's List. I am loving it, have been playiny 2-3 hours a day and would play more, but I have a wife and kid :)

Cheers,
Jim

I live on Long Island in NY, in my 50's and have 4 teenagers. I play mostly an electric guitar but since I found this site I've been playing more acoustic. I've been playing on and off for over 30 years and consider myself an intermediate guitarist. I own a PRS Custom 24, Fender SRV Signature Strat, G&L ASAT Classic, Epiphone Dot Studio and my acoustic is a Seagull Cameo, Artist series. I play classic rock from the 60s & 70's and blues.

Regards,
Paul

Hi Jim,

You're not the only one with a Taylor 614ce. I bought mine (used) about two months ago, and I lick it daily.

By the way, there are about 15,000 people on this site who don't live in America. They'd probably be interested in knowing that Santa Cruz is in California.
