Introduce yourself. What is your name and location?

My name is Bruce and I live in Oregon.

Tell us a little about your story, you can tell us your age if your game but not necessary (or age bracket, we have a truly diverse group). When did you take up guitar? How long have you been playing? What led you to look for lessons or help, how is it you ended up here?

I started playing guitar in 1975 in Jr. High School. I never learned to play music, I was too lazy, but I quickly learned to play "By Ear". I impressed my friends with my renditionso f Dream On, Takin Care of Business, etc. I got busy, as most adults do, and fell away from daily play until recently. My kids pulled me out of my funk so I've invested in music equip and I'm ready for another go at it.

What Kind of Guitar do you play? Do you have any others in your stable? Do you lust after anything else specifically? (all of us here have the 'disease' it seems)

PRS CE22 Artist Package and a Takamine Jumbo Acoustic/Electric. Currently looking to by a Masterbuilt Tele and a Les Paul Studio. My sons have another PRS CU24 and a Fender Precision Deluxe Bass

What is your favorite music to play? How about to listen to? What kind of playing styles would you like to learn or already know?

I play Rhythm, but I'm getting bored with it. I want to learn to improvise and riff lead. I like all kinds of Rock music

If there was one goal you could accomplish in your learning journey what would that be? or maybe you have many?

Learn how to play my favorit songs including oldies, as well as some of the new alternative stuff

If you are comfortable share with us your work a little, job, business, whatever you want to say.

Executive Leadership in the High Tech space. I retired yound from my first gig, then went on to a combination of entrepreneurship, consulting, pro-bono, and change-agent-for-hire opportunities. I'm still having fun at it.

Anything else you would like to share ? Anything about your family, hobbies outside of Guitar? On the site you will meet everyone from golfers to Gourmet Chef's to car nuts, and sports folk..and everyone in between. Whatever else you may want to add?

Unfortunately, I have way too many hobbies and almost no time to spend doing any of them. My absolute favorit thing to do is just being with my wife and kids. My kids are musically inclined so we're having some fun doing this together.
