So, after 40 plus years, picked up a guitar and started playing around with it about 2 years ago. Have discovered Travis fingerpicking and love it. Was wondering if y'all had any recommendations for songs suitable for pickin' I could focus on. Landslide was my first real fingerstyle song, and Let it Be the second. Playing around with Dust in the Wind as well. Other suggestions?
Oh yeah, I'm the guy in the upper left corner of the avatar exiting a Dehavilland Otter at 15,000' with 19 of my good friends.

Thanks for the suggestion. Forgot to include it (Blackbird) in my vast repetoire list, along with John Barleycorn. Blackbird was the first song I tackled and still am tackling, though I pick it a little different than Neil lays out (use my index instead of thumb to hit that second note). Works cleaner for me.
If you want to focus on Travis picking, take a look at the Townes Van Zandt lesson of Pancho and Lefty. I would suggest, though, moving on to some other non-Travis picking fingerstyle songs such as 4+20, Circle Game, I'll Have to Say I Love You. and Come Monday.
Hi and welcome from the Netherlands!
Yep, Streets of London is a good one, 4+20, but also The Boxer, Homeward Bound or if you wanna increase your tempo, try Just Breathe, there's enough out there that's for sure!
Good luck and happy guitarplaying!
Cheers
