My name is Steve and I reside in Gainesville, FL. I just purchased my first guitar today. I feel comfortable as a lefty even though my dominant hand is right. I guess ambidextrous is the word for that, I would box southpaw, bat and golf as a lefty, but write with my right. Anyways, any advice would greatly be appreciated as well as suggestions on how to begin my process.
Welcome to TG Steve, Good decision to join this site everything and then some is here to help you to learn guitar. Where are you at with the guitar complete newbie or what? Knowing that would help guide you to a good point to start at. Oh and what guitar did you buy?

Steve,
Welcome.
I am pretty much 100% left handed but I play guitar right handed. I always felt the fretting (left) hand was harder than the right, so it made sense for me to play right handed.
I don't know if this helps you or not, but if you take the time to work with Neil's lessons, you will learn quickly.

Hey Steve, welcome from South Australia. Dermot has given you every link you need to get playing, so don't waste time! Buying the guitar was a great first step, now you need to wear out your first set of strings. I think Chas already asked but I will again, what did you buy?
