Clive,

A big hi from Sydney. You've definitely come to the right place. There are so many things on this site that will help you on you way.

Make sure you start videoling yourself early. The earlier the better. That way you'll be able to look back in a short period of time and see just how much you've progressed.

Participate in the forum too. Jumping in boots and all is the best way to get a kick start.

Good luck and have fun.

Michele

Clive, howdy from Alaska.

Everything they've said to you so far is true. (watch Michele closely though) ;-)

Honestly its the best bunch of people you'll find, that have your interest in playing a guitar. Neil has got to be one of the best instructors you'll ever find. His passion for teaching really shows. He will expect you to pay your dues (practice that is) but he will certainly help you get where you want to go.

If you trip along the way, the rest of us will catch you and yank you back up.

Hello Clive. Glad you decided to join us here at TG.

And don't worry, with modern medicine, a few less power chords, and some long trousers, "Angus Young Syndrome" can be successfully overcome. :)

Hiya Clive *waves from NYC*

As the others have said, If you want to learn the guitar you've come to the right place. There is so much content here it can be a little overwhelming at first glance. Never fear though, there is plenty of available for all levels. You've done the right thing by jumping into the forums right off (something I should have done!) If you get a little lost or have any questions just ask.

Enjoy your journey, I know you'll have a blast.

Ken
