Welcome Hughy! Makes sense to get the kids out of the house before you let rip on the Stairway to Heaven solo ;-).
Hope you have a ball here.

Welcome from Seattle, Hughy. If you want to learn the guitar, you've come to the right place. Even I managed to learn how to string together a few chords.

I agree that with others that you have certainly come to the right place to learn guitar. There are certainly other good sites out there, but having checked out most, if not all of them, this is the best in my humble opinion. My suggestion would be to learn what you can from the free lessons that are offered here, then consider joining the Target Program. The monthly fee will be the best money you ever spent, no question about it. Good luck.

Hi everyone, never really get a chance to introduce myself. I play average guitars and I'm also trying to develop my voice. I hope at age 30, it isn't too late.

Hi Gavind1,
welcome from Scotland. I'm sure at thirty it is far from too late to be tackling the guitar. Lot's of people on this site are a lot older than you and are thriving in their guitar playing and singing. In comparison you are a spring chicken. :)
