Hello, I am a not so new member of TG.........and need some help.

Not long ago Daryl assisted me by inspiring me to play Windy and Warm after asking the TG community to select one of the songs I have been working on as a
request.

Without further ado, I again beseech the TG family for help.

Just pick one....by the way my house is about to be swallowed up by SANDY...................

Strumming Medley - Beatles
Strumming Medley - From Hell
Hybrid Picking - Hint Neil Y/ Dead / Elton
Fingerstyle: Canon in D / What if God Was One of Us / or something like that

Anyone.......Buehler.......anyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I had to pick one it would be something from Neil Young. :) Image

Hey I'll offer. Not sure I entirely understand what you are asking for but I'll have a try...Do Cannon in D...that's cool. I'd like to be able to play that myself.

First thing.....upload something to Michele's "Busking 'Something'" thread. Anything. Heck, do "Windy and Warm" again. Just play something you know. That will make you relearn the song cause recording just does that.

Next....find a song that moves you. A happy peppy one? A love song? A sad song? A difficult one? Anything that speaks to you and then work on the 1st verse or pattern or phrase of that song and post THAT to Michele's thread.

Or work on a single blues lick and post that.

What song speaks to you?

And BTW your "Windy and Warm" was a year ago!

I'd be interested in hearing Canon in D. I reckon they'll be new things to learn in there. Also I wonder how long it will take you to learn it. It's the same thing over and over but with lots of variation. It was a memory challenge as much as anything for me.

I humbly suggest going to the most intimate and simple concert you can find where the excellent musician can rekindle your resolve.

Watch MarkM's version of brain damage and/or Mr. and Mrs. AcousticAl's version of Hero. If that doesn't inspire you, nothing I can say will help you.
