Return of the prodigal guitarist

After a long break pursuing other interests and settling into our new life in California, I've just rejoined TG. While I was away I dabbled from time to time in other guitar sites, but never found the community that's grown up here. I had a quick look through recent forum posts and was glad to see a lot of familiar names from the old days. I look forward to reconnecting with you all.

Musically, I've been trying lately to come to terms with my electric guitar. It still seems like such a strange beast making lots of unintended sounds. Closing that frustrating gap between the familiarity and comfort of my old Martin and this screaming creature is one of my goals for the summer. My daughter, who is now eight, has also taken up the mandolin and I'm enjoying playing around with her on that as well. We may be adapting some Target songs for her.

Welcome back Stuart, great to hear you've found your way back here. You should sure share some playing together with your daughter when you can, that'd be awesome of course! :)

I envy you, from the UK to CA, nice!!

Thank you, Chris and Vanessa, for the warm welcome back.
Vanessa, I enjoyed your lesson on Only Living Boy in New York. Thanks so much for putting that together for us.
