Hello Folks: I've been reading the new posts on the forums and
listening to the weekly updates since I found the site back in the
spring. I came across the site by accident when doing a search on the
internet for references to John Renbourn and found Neil's reflections
on him just after he died. I look forward to the weekly updates and
enjoy reading folks comments and the like.
My background is that I have been playing and not playing for over 50
years. I wish I could say I was 50 years good but truthfully I'm not
really all that proficient although these days I play every chance I
get.
I feel I've have come to know a lot of you from your posts and find
the welcoming attitude very pleasant indeed. So thank you all for the
fine entertainment! 'grin'
A new cheap seat member.

Greetings Baffled. If you have been snooping behind the curtains for a while, you'll know us and the site better than we you. Hope you are enjoying.... maybe you'll post a little something you play.... always a good step to take to deepen the TG experience.

Hi Swiss Chris and Vanessa: Thank you for your greetings. I enjoyed
both of your performances at and around the IGC videos posted.
Chris I don't have any video but could probably dig up some audio
stuff. What is the sites policy on posting URLs to the forums? Most of
the recent material I have is just from jam sessions so not very high
quality.
Vanessa, I really enjoyed the Billy Joel lesson demo you put up
recently. I haven't had the chance to hear the whole thing yet though.

Hello Baffled,
Welcome to the forum!!! I am very happy that you have found this site and that you are enjoying it. Like many of us, you will find that the more you watch & participate, the more you will learn. The instructors are so great here that it is truly unbelievable. Most importantly, just have fun and take in tas much as you can, it is worth the time that it takes!

Hello Bart and all once again. I apologize for the delay in responding
to the thread but I've been screwing up my courage to post one of my
pieces. Well, it's really one of a buddies and my pieces we recorded
in a home made studeo, his bedroom! 'grin' We did this a while back
and I'm not exactly sure if it'll come through or not.
The piece is called Fiddleheads and we used it as a warm up tune when
we used to perform around town in a few small coffee shops. I'd enjoy
hearing folks opinions on the piece. I apologize once again for the
quality of the recording. I'd like to remaster it someday if I get the
chance.
