Lots of songs and art 'moves' me in one way or another, yet there is seldom a song that really touches me, deep. Anyone with elderly parents who are suffering from any form of dementia can relate to this one.

We, the wife and I, were introduced to Liz while attending the Crystal Bowersox concert recently. Liz was Crystal's 'supporting' act.

Liz holds a bachelors from Berklee College of Music in Boston in songwriting. She was appointed the "Bob Dylan Songwriting Scholarship" during her 4th year.

I may have posted this recently, but hey....

This one has earned some playtime,

There are worse things than being stuck in the 70's as far as music goes...... ;)

I have to admit that I don't follow too much main stream music (at least no the stuff that plays on all of the top 40 stations), so I miss some of the gems like Vanessa has been doing lately. These days, when I am not still stuck in the 70's/80's, I tend to enjoy the indie and post-modern stuff. Bands like Minus the Bear, Band of Horses, The Shins, Explosions in the Sky, God is an Astronaut, Guster, Metric, and many others.

I have shared some Minus the Bear in the past, but this song is one of my favorites, and it has an acoustic version, which moy or may not lend itself to some cool techniques. It is called Pachuca Sunrise. Here are both versions, acoustic first.

There is a great story about how they got the name, but probably not one for the forum ... ;)

I don't know if you ever check out "Live at Daryl's House", but they were on there a while back. Cool episode...
