Playing chords or a sort of lead on the top 3 or 4 strings,, I always have trouble going from one chord to the next chord, how can we combine the chords in a musically way?

Im working on Cavatina
Im struggling to get clean notes, Measure 5, 3rd string (err) C#m7 ?
When the bass is on the fifth no problem
When trying to hold a 6 string Barre, I always have either top middle or bottom dead.
If top and bottom are good = midddle dull.
or visa versa
I can hold 6 strings ok but the introduction of more than my index finger weakens the index?

I remember seeing Muriel Anderson doing a technique where she fretted a chord (Am?) and then outlined the chord with the edge of her right hand (at the “nodal point”?) while strumming with her index finger. The effect was awesome. Would you (Neal) be able to show this? I believe I saw her do this somewhere on a video on TG. I have been able to do this, but not too consistently.

Almost forgot, she was demonstrating a "chord harmonics" technique.
