Hey Everyone,

Neil and I will be doing a webcast this Saturday at 10 am PT/1 pm ET, the topic will be on Fingerpicking, but we'll of course be happy to answer any other questions you might have, so long as it's related to guitar of course ;)

We hope you can join us, we're doing an opt in for this one, so if you want to get a reminder to your email, click here to register and we'll send a couple reminders with the access link on the day of the webcast so that you can join us.

If you're not a fan of sharing your email, that's fine too, as soon as the casting room is cleaned up and ready we'll post the link here. Share any questions that you have on this thread, I'll monitor it throughout the broadcast, we'll also keep an eye on the [email protected] email if you want to send your questions there, or you can post them live during the cast through the Facebook comments section.

We hope you can join us!
Jameela

Neil

If a new student came to you today to learn finger picking, what would be your favorite
finger- picking songs to teach him / her.

I started off finger picking in Spanish classical style as my mum was playing classical guitar and I copied her, so it was using 3 fingers and the thumb. I find it hard to kick that habit and have difficulty playing just 2 fingers and thumb which is what I see so many (for example Justin Hayward) doing on so many songs.... looks easier but I am not always getting it.What should I be looking out for? How can I anchor the 2 finger thing? Hope this isn't a dopey question! I also hope the internet here on Crete holds up tonight...
